Chalk holder

Background:

My dad punched a hole in our closet, and it needed to get fixed so I came up with this creative solution: Turn this into a useful chalk holder!
This chalk holder insert is the first real-world application of my problem solving skills as I modeled this chalk holder to fit the hole in my cabinent, and then 3d printed it.

Design:

The front surface is sloped up slightly to prevent the chalk from rolling out of the holder and falling to the ground. It took me a couple iterations to get the tolerance between the insert and the cabinent to get it to fit just right.

Post-project thoughts:

This project was smooth from start to finish and i wouldnt change anything about how i went about it.
